Survival Strategy No. 2 to Overcome the Negative Effects of Covid-19

Scripture Reference: Genesis 1: 1 – 31

Introduction

In the first part of this teaching on the Creation Principles, we discussed the raw materials God had before he started creating heaven and earth, and we also listed some of your own raw materials.

In this second part, we shall focus on what God did not have as at the time he began the creation project. This will show that we as human beings cannot have everything in life at every point in time, but the good news is that we can use what we have to create what we don’t have but need.

What God Did Not Have before the Creation Project

Before God started creating heaven and earth, there was no light, day or night. There was no firmament, no heaven, and no earth. Similarly, there was no land, no seas, and there was no grass, no plants and no fruits bearing trees.

There were no living creatures inside the waters―no fishes, no whales. Moreover, there were no birds and no fowls of the air. There were no cattle and other animals. The sun, moon and stars were not yet in existence. Man and woman did also not exist as well.

All these things were what God wanted but did not have before he started the creation project. We can therefore define the creation event as the process through which God, using what he had, created what he did not have but wanted.

Frankly speaking, Covid-19 can even be seen as an opportunity for us to be more creative to meet our increased needs. Covid-19 should be seen as a blessing in disguise. Share on X

Romans 4:17 says “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” (KJV)

Hebrews 11:1-3 takes it further, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (KJV)

God put the creation principles in place to teach humans how to create things. In life, there are so many things we don’t have but need and want. It’s, therefore, not a sign of weakness or failure to have needs, but a call to create. Creation is the process of using what you have to produce and create what you don’t have but need.

Before Covid-19, you had needs, and the needs may have even increased in the post- Covid-19 era. Frankly speaking, Covid-19 can even be seen as an opportunity for us to be more creative to meet our increased needs. In other words, Covid-19 should be seen as a blessing in disguise.

Action Time

  1. Take a sheet of paper and list out what you really need in your life right now. You may not presently have a peaceful home or your own business. You may be lacking a good job or have lost your contracts. You may not have a house, a university degree and good health.
  2. Perhaps you have no money anywhere. Regardless of what you do not have, don’t see your needs as evidence of failure on your part.
  3. Do not use your needs as an excuse to go into evil deeds or destroy other people in the bid to get what you want. Such actions will attract the judgement of God.
  4. No matter how long your list of needs and wants may be, the good news is that with what you have listed as your raw materials in the first part of this series, together with help from God, you can then proceed to create the things you need but don’t have.
  5. For every need in your life and family, just look up toward heaven and say, “Lord, I thank you for my needs and I thank you for the opportunity to be creative in the land of the living.”

Now you may be asking, “But how did God use the raw materials he had to create the things he needed?

You will find out details in part 3 of this teaching.

Now receive the grace to arise and shine, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
