Survival Strategy No. 3 to Overcome the Negative Effects of Covid-19

Scripture Reference: Genesis 1: 1 – 31 (KJV)

Introduction

This is the fourth part of the teaching series on the creation principles.

The first part covered the raw materials God had, part 2 was on what God did not have at the time he started the creation project while the third part was on some of the physical actions God took in order to create the heaven and earth.

Welcome to the fourth part which will talk about some of the creative attitudes of God and how man can emulate God to manifest these attitudes as we deal with the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic and other issues of life.

With the right attitude, you can be the best you can, your life can be fulfilled and be a blessing to others. Share on X

Some Creative Attitudes of God during Creation

At this point, let us again define creation as the process in which God, using what he had―the raw materials―created what he did not have but wanted by taking some physical actions and manifesting his creative attitudes.

Now let’s take an inquisitive look at what God did throughout the creation period, and you will observe many creative attitudes some of which include:

  • God took responsibility. God knew that if there was going to be the heaven and earth, it was up to Him.
  • God was visionary. God had a vision of what he wanted before the creation project started.
  • God was decisive. God took certain decisions and showed that he had the power of choice.
  • God was bold and courageous to confront a dark shapeless and void earth.
  • God was and is still a big thinker; he saw the picture and also had a very big dream.
  • God focused on what he wanted and not the difficulties around him.
  • God was imaginative, creative and innovative.
  • God was methodical and orderly, creating one thing after the other.
  • God was his own cheerleader. He appreciated and commended his products and achievements. He loved and cherished what he created―the works of his own hands.
  • God was resourceful and used everything at his disposal to create the things he wanted. Nothing was regarded as useless and nothing was wasted.
  • God was a team player. He worked with God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. There was unity of purpose and focus amongst The Trinity. Genesis 1:2 says, “…And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (KJV). John 1:1-3 says, “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.” (KJV)
  • God was active and hard working.
  • God was consistent, persistent and persevered until he achieved his goals.
  • God rested and was renewed after six busy days of the creation activity. The Bible tells us in Genesis 2:2-3 “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” (KJV)
  • God was futuristic and optimistic as well.

The Practical Application

As the great psychologist-philosopher William James said, “The greatest discovery of my generation is that people can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.”

Attitude is everything and your attitude determines your altitude in life. With the right attitude, you can create the world you desire around you. With the right attitude, you can be the best you can, your life can be fulfilled and be a blessing to others.

What to Do

  • Take responsibility for your life and family. Stand up and take full responsibility for every area of your life. Stop playing the blame game and stop using excuses as a cover-up. Stop blaming everyone else but yourself. Stop wasting and disgracing the image of God in you; stop being a disappointment to God and your fellow man.
  • Take responsibility for your job and position in society and whatever that has been committed into your hands. As Keith Harrell said, “You are the best at what you do because of one main thing: Attitude.”
  • If your marriage is far from the dream you had before you got married, take responsibility to turn it around and stop blaming your spouse.
  • Look back and see why your health is failing and take responsibility. Start eating right and confessing the word of God for your healing and restoration.

All the attitudes God demonstrated during creation, some of which we have listed above, are all in you and you can manifest them if you choose to. As you manifest them in your life, you will be amazed how things will turn around for your good.

And like Heraclitus Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States said: “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.”

Now, receive the grace to arise and shine in Jesus’ name. Amen.
