There is an error I’ve made several times; many individuals and organisations are also making that same error. As long as you don’t correct this mistake the year 2022 will become like any other year: a year of average and mediocre achievement.

If you fail to act now, 2022 might be a year of confusion, frustration, disappointment, discouragement, underachievement, unfulfillment and unhappiness.

Planning without Praying and Praying without Planning

That error is planning without praying and praying without planning.

Many companies, individuals and families are now planning or they have already concluded their plans but left God out of their plans. Many others are praying and some are seriously praying now but without planning.

Both groups are making serious mistakes.

The Planning without Praying Group

For the first group of planning without praying and not recognising God, the book of James 4:13-15 (KJV) says, Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

Again, for those who do not have room for God in their lives and businesses, Psalm 14:1-2 (KJV) says this, The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

The Rich Fool

In Luke 12:16-21 (KJV), Jesus said this parable, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Conclusion

Don’t plan like those that say there is no God which the Bible calls fools. Also, don’t plan like the rich fool that made plans and money but had no place for God.

Plan as much as you can, based on the information and resources at your disposal. Recognise God, give him his rightful place in your plan and the year 2022 will be your best year ever.
